Your tasks & responsibilites

We are currently seeking a highly knowledgeable IT Consultant (any gender) to join our US-team. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in helping individuals and businesses to develop, utilize, and integrate IT systems. By resolving technical problems and providing comprehensive user training, you will enable our clients to maximize the value of technology in their business operations.

You understand customer requirements and business objectives.

You provide strategic advice on using technology to achieve goals.

N

You manage IT service requests and incidents and collaborate with in-house technical staff.

N

You design IT systems and networks ensuring the right architecture and functionality.

N

You support new technology implementation, revise existing systems and suggest improvements.

N

You train users in new and existing IT systems and provide assistance with technical issues.

N

Last but not least, you are responsible for creating reports.

Proven experience as an IT Consultant

L

Experience with various operating systems & databases

L

Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software & network problems

L

Analytical mind with problem-solving abilities

L

Team player with excellent communication & presentation skills

L

Experience in project management

L

Customer service orientation & interpersonal skills

L

Professional certification (Microsoft) is an asset

Principle workplace at customer's site (long-term) and occasionally at other customers' sites or at the abilis office

Working hours: 40h/week, non-exempt

What to expect

The position is mostly office-based (at customer’s site), where you will work as part of an IT support team. There is also the possibility to work remotely or from an abilis office on a pro rata basis. You will report to the local abilis IT Manager as well as to the abilis IT Director based in Germany.
